Some ground floor rooms overlook a car parking area, which can affect privacy, and the presence of only net curtains means you might find yourself fumbling for the light switch when changing. I encountered some issues with communication while trying to sort out the shower, as certain housekeeping staff struggled with English, which made for a tricky morning. The dining area felt cramped at times, especially during breakfast when service seemed a bit delayed, and despite the overall cleanliness, there were occasional reports of unkempt bathroom fixtures that could use attention. Lastly, there's a noticeable absence of microwaves in rooms, making late-night snacking more problematic than it should be.

    standard breakfast

It was just a commendable fit for a couple of nights in Carrick-on-Shannon, great for the money. Breakfast was nice, standard B&B fare that was more than enough to set you up for the morning. If you prefer a quiet stay, consider opting for the house in town.

    comfy beds
    tasty breakfast
    friendly host
    fixed shower head

Had a great time with my friends! The beds were super comfy, and we enjoyed the tasty breakfast every morning. The location made it easy to explore nearby spots like the Golf Club and Arigna Mining Experience. Charlotte was friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the free parking. Definitely recommend this place for a fun getaway!

Only downside was that I had to bring my own shower cap since the shower head could not be moved, making it a bit tricky.

Quiet atmosphere but the room was cramped and poorly designed, making it difficult to manage luggage. The bed squeaked and there was an unexpected leak from above that dampened our stay. the breakfast offered a variety of delicious options, and the hosts were accommodating with rides into town, enhancing the overall experience.

    plumbing issues

The immaculately kept property offered a quietly inviting atmosphere, making it easy to relax. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring an impressive assortment of options, including delicious smoked meats, served piping hot. the room was disappointingly cramped, hindering movement with luggage and suffering from some design flaws. a plumbing issue led to an inconvenient leak, dampening our stay considerably. Despite the warm hospitality, the cluttered layout and lack of roominess negatively impacted the overall experience.
